CONRAD MAINWARING SURVIVORS TO OFFER VICTIM IMPACT STATEMENTS AT COURT HEARING

WHAT:

Alleged victims of sexual abuse by Conrad Mainwaring and their attorneys will attend a court hearing where he is expected to plead guilty to of indecent assault and battery on children according to the Berkshire County District Attorney’s Office. Victims will make victim impact statements in court and via zoom.

Attorneys and survivors Tym De Santo, David Sweet, John Shapiro, Robert Bender, and Robert Druger will be available for interviews immediately following the hearing at the courthouse. WHY:Conrad Mainwaring, was charged with more than 12 counts of indecent assault and battery on children in 2021 He is former Olympian and track coach and served as a camp counselor at Camp Greylock located in Becket, Massachusetts.

Mainwaring was arrested in 2019 after an ESPN investigation into allegations against Mainwaring, made by over 50 different men and dating as far back as the 1970s and as recently as 2016. His victims told ESPN he used his Olympic credentials and relationships with accomplished athletes to persuade them to train with him.

Manly, Stewart& Finaldi and Thomas Legal Counselors represent multiple of alleged victims in civil lawsuits against Mainwaring and Defendants Syracuse University and Camp Greylock.
